  • WordPress for Magnum Ink

    Client Location: Las Vegas, NV

While doing some official industry research (better said, “surfing the forums at Pirate4×4.com”), I came across a company making a big splash in the custom screen printing world, Magnum Ink. The shirt designs I saw were both innovative, grungy and clean at the same time, something very hard to pull off with one creative work. [...]

  • Lance Brannon Trailer Sales

    Client Location: Rogersville, AL

The trailer industry is not one known for pushing the limits of design or technology, so we wanted to jump at the opportunity to raise the bar with a cutting edge, quality website. The site is powered by a custom content management system that the internal staff uses to manage current inventory, unit and model details (text information, photos, etc.).

  • Rated X Motorsports

    Client Location: Santee, CA

This was one of our first custom ecommerce websites. Rated X had some specific requirements that prevented use of an off of the shelf package, so putting together a custom solution better served their needs. They actually have two websites, both featuring their own products and content (photos, etc.), but are both managed from one admin interface. This vastly simplifies updating the site.

We expect the DVD to ship on March 13, 2009.

  • ChildrensDDS

    Client Location: Woodstock, GA

The overwhelming direction given to this project was, “make it fun”. Understanding that this site was geared toward children’s dentistry gave us the opportunity to design the look of the site in a way that would appeal to children, but still provide the necessary information for their parents.

The Octane Difference

We build relationships, not just websites. Seriously, that's the difference. We prefer to think of it as a partnership rather than a project. Anyone can build you a website and send you a bill. We specialize in working with companies that need a Web tool. That tool may be a static website or it may be a full-on turbo powered, nitrous injected big block ecommerce/blog/photo gallery/forum/community web application. Regardless of what your business needs, we want to UNDERSTAND those needs and work WITH you to craft a solution that gives you a distinct advantage over your competition. Please use our Contact Form if you have any questions. We look forward to hearing from you.

WordPress Integrates With Twitter API

We are asked this by almost every client who implements a WordPress site, “How do I update all of my ’streams’ at the same time?” Well, the answer to that question is one step closer.

This morning, a blogging platform and a microblogging platform have become more symbiotic. WordPress has enabled posting and reading the blogs the platform powers via the Twitter API.

PRI Photos 2009

I’m here in Orlando, FL, for the 2009 Performance Racing Industry show. I didn’t really come to the show on a mission to grab tons of photos, but I did snap a few pictures of interesting products and vehicles. I will probably have some more to post from Saturday’s show. Magento for GameDayGirlStuff.com

We seem to be getting a lot of requests for Magento lately. The platform has grown leaps and bounds over the last couple of years and we have been with them from the beginning. It has been encouraging to see how the platform has developed into a full fledged commerce solution. We were approached by the owner of Game Day Girl Stuff about building a new site for them that was more robust and scalable than their existing platform. Magento was the perfect fit for their needs, and so it was.

Please visit the Game Day Girl Stuff store to see the results.

Magento Live for Extreme Roc Rigs

We have done quite a few Magento installations now. Each time we dig into Magento, we appreciate the platform even more. Agreed, it’s a huge beast and a pain to get setup, but once it’s up and running it’s great. The flexibility and scalability are the major benefits.

You can checkout our latest Magento installation at the Extreme Roc Rigs store.

This site is also coupled with a WordPress installation available at the root of the site.

SEMA Photos 2009 – Day 4

The 2009 SEMA show finally wound down today. As expected, the crowd was a little down compared to the earlier days in the week. Overall, I was very happy with the turnout at the 2009 SEMA show and I feel that it was a good indicator that the automotive industry is still doing very well despite what we all expected to hear. I’m looking forward to seeing how the industry rebounds during 2010.

Below are the pictures from Day 4 of the 2009 SEMA show. Read the rest of this entry »
