While doing some official industry research (better said, “surfing the forums at Pirate4x4.com”), I came across a company making a big splash in the custom screen printing world, Magnum Ink. This was one of our first custom ecommerce websites. Rated X had some specific requirements that prevented use of an off of the shelf package, so putting together a custom solution better served their needs. They actually have two websites, both featuring their own products and content (photos, etc.), but are both managed from one admin interface. This vastly simplifies updating the site.

The Octane Difference

We build relationships, not just websites. Seriously, that's the difference. We prefer to think of it as a partnership rather than a project. Anyone can build you a website and send you a bill. We specialize in working with companies that need a Web tool. That tool may be a static website or it may be a full-on turbo powered, nitrous injected big block ecommerce/blog/photo gallery/forum/community web application. Regardless of what your business needs, we want to UNDERSTAND those needs and work WITH you to craft a solution that gives you a distinct advantage over your competition. Please use our Contact Form if you have any questions. We look forward to hearing from you.

New CRAWL Website Being Fabricated

We are very thankful to work in an industry that we are so passionate about. CRAWL Magazine also embodies that passion and we are unbelievably stoked to be partnering with them on the new launch of their website. We will have a preview ready to show off at the Off Road Expo in Pomona, CA. If you bump into one of us (wearing an Octane Media shirt), hit us up for a quick glance at the site. We crafted a solution based around WordPress. A custom theme was crafted which included product and category pages for the e-commerce products. Please check out the site to see the result, plus they have plenty of eye candy on the site to keep everyone entertained.

Wide Open Design’s New Ignite Site

When contacted by Wide Open Design, of Murfreesboro, TN, it became evident from the onset that this website was not going to fit the mold of a normal off-the-shelf website platform. The inherent inclusion vehicle projects, current news, an ecommerce store, and advanced project attributing are seldom found in a single product, and when they are found coexisting, the implementation is often lacking in user experience. Enter, our Ignite Platform. Read the rest of this entry »

WordPress for BirminghamLandscapingServices.com

We were recently approached by Mark Schroeter of Schroeter’s Landscaping to help them with their website. They are a major landscaping firm in Birmingham, AL and specialize in amazing stone work. We jumped at the opportunity to work with a company growing at such a rapid pace. We went around the block to chose the platform for this project and all roads pointed to WordPress. It worked great for managing their landscaping projects and keeping the current news coming in at a rapid pace, almost as rapid as their business growth. If you’re in the need of Landscaping in Birmingham, AL, don’t hesitate to give them a call. I’m sure you’ll be as impresses with their designs as we have been.
